i really love eric's trip. i discovered them last year--the first song i heard was secret for julie and from there i just fell in love. i have the eric's trip show, love tara and i just ordered peter.

i'm sure you guys have all of that stuff, but i would be willing to send over any of the songs since they are all on my computer.

i ask of a favor, though..

i really really want to hear sand from SONGS ABOUT CHRIS. in fact, i'd like to hear the whole ep if anyone has that, but please, please, please someone if you have it e-mail me the song. just comment or e-mail to schneidm@reed.edu

thanks in advance

I've got this idea for an online zine library/archive. I envision something like a combination between the Gutenberg Project, Wikipedia, and the library in "The Abortion An Historical Romance" by Richard Brautigan. I have no idea how to start a project like this and no experience with this stuff if you are interested in helping me to put this in motion please send me an e-mail or comment in my blog.

I'm going to be cross posting this to every community I am a member of so if you see this somewhere else that's why.

My name is Chris and Eric's Trip has been my all-time favourite band for almost as long as I have been buying my own music. I am a musician and their stuff has been a major influence for me artistically as well.

other bands I'm really in to right now are Husker Du, Death from Above 1979, Joan of Arc, Hugh LeCaine, and Stan Rogers. you can find out a lot about me from my interests posted in my profile. I am a writer and incredibly amature photographer, I am easily amused and in high school I was in a punk rock band which recorded an entire 90 minute album using an answering machine and hand held tape recorders. there's a bit with a 4 track but since none of us knew howe to work it it might as well have been done with the answering machine.

Currently I am writing a book and sporadically experimenting with electronic music and audio tape manipulation.

I am otherwise unemployed at the moment.

I guess that's a good enough introduction, if you want to know anything more about me you can always ask.

this community seems to need a kick in the pants!
lets try this:

-does anyone else own the photo book julie put out? i keep mine in my heart and on my bookshelf.

-have you ever seen/met erics trip related peoples? tell us about it.

-whats your fave ET album/song?

-make up a question and put it out there!

im very bored.

Does anyone have any experience ordering any of the Great Beyond Recordings from elevator.ca? I'm wondering how long should normally take for cds to be shipped to me. In late November, I mailed Rick White a money order for $170 to order all of these recordings and still have received nothing from him. I've been waiting for these cds for what seems like forever, and I can't imagine being ripped off by Rick White...
